Anti-Scam
Essential guidelines to keep your transactions safe and secure.
Protect Yourself Against Internet Fraud!
Welcome to FreeAdsPro.com. The vast majority of listings on our platform are posted by honest, trustworthy people, allowing you to find excellent deals and do great business. However, it is important to remain vigilant and follow a few common-sense rules to prevent any attempt at a scam.
Your safety is our top priority. Please read our essential guidelines before making any transactions.
1. Our Golden Rules for Safe Trading
Meet in Person: Always try to do business with people you can meet face-to-face in a safe, well-lit, public place (like a coffee shop or a busy shopping mall).
Never Pay in Advance: Do not send money via Western Union, MoneyGram, Cryptocurrency, or any other anonymous payment systems. Scammers often use these untraceable methods.
Keep it Local: Never send money or ship products abroad. Deal locally whenever possible.
Beware of Checks: Do not accept personal checks or cashier's checks. Counterfeit checks are highly common in online fraud.
Verify Information: Ask the person you are dealing with to confirm their name, address, and telephone number.
Keep Records: Save copies of all correspondence (emails, chat logs, SMS) and note the details of the person you are transacting with.
The Ultimate Rule: If a deal seems too good to be true, it almost certainly is. Trust your instincts and walk away.
2. How to Recognize an Attempted Scam
Scammers often follow predictable patterns. Be extremely cautious if you notice one or more of these red flags:
The Overseas Buyer/Seller: The person claims to be abroad, traveling, or currently unable to meet you in person.
Suspicious Payment Requests: The person insists on paying through Western Union, MoneyGram, Gift Cards, or offers to send a check.
Overpayment Scams: A buyer offers to send a check for more than your asking price and asks you to refund the difference to a "shipping agent." (The check will eventually bounce, and you will lose your money).
Poor Communication: The messages are in broken language, highly generic (e.g., "Hello dear"), or appear to be copied and pasted.
Urgency: The person tries to pressure you into making a quick decision or immediate payment.
Fake Links: The buyer or seller sends you a link asking you to log in to a "secure payment portal" or delivery service. Never click on unverified links.
3. What to Do If You Spot a Scammer
